Troubleshoot Camera Display Issues

Check camera format

This DVR is compatible with TV, AHD, CV1, and analog formats up to 5MP (2560 × 1920 pixels at 12.5 fps).

This does not work with SDI cameras.

Check night vision

Ensure that the night vision infrared light on your camera is enabled by testing it in a dark environment.

Troubleshoot black-white image

If cameras are displaying images in black-and-white when they should be in color, correct the video format to CVI in camera settings.

Check that the camera’s night vision infrared light is on.

Ensure cameras are firmly connected to DVR.

Do not use SDI cameras with this DVR.

What kind of cameras are compatible with this DVR?

This TIGERSECU DVR works with TVI, HD-CVI, AHD, D1 analog cameras, and is a perfect replacement for most BNC and HD CCTV DVRs. Contact TIGERSECU with your camera’s brand and model number, and we can help find out whether it’ll work with this DVR.

Can this security DVR capture audio recording?

Yes, this TIGERSECU Super HD 1080P Security DVR is designed to record audio on 4 channels (channels 1, 2, 3, and 4). (Audio devices such as microphones are sold separately.)

Does this DVR require an internet connection for recording?

No, this TIGERSECU DVR does not require an internet connection to operate or record. An internet connection is required if you would like to remotely access your system using the TIGERSECU App on a mobile device or PC.

What devices can I use to remotely access my TIGERSECU DVR? Is it really free?

Free remote access to your TIGERSECU DVR is available from your iPhone, Android, PC, or Mac with our easy-to-use TIGERSECU HD Viewer App and CMS client. TIGERSECU does not require a contract, subscription or fees to install or use the app.

Remotely access and play surveillance footage and control the security DVR with no contract or monthly fees with the TIGERSECU HD Viewer app. For optimal performance, 1 Mbps network upload speed is recommended for each 1080P camera. Bitrate settings can be adjusted in the DVR to accommodate slower network speeds. Mobile app requires iOS 9.3 or later and Android 9 or later.
This DVR has a 16TB memory storage capacity, and comes pre-installed with a new 2TB surveillance hard disk drive for over 10+ days of continuous local recording at the highest resolution. Motion detection options allow you to record only when motion is detected to save hard drive space.
No fan noise and a quieter system with our unique heat sink fan technology that enables the DVR to self-cool and prevent overheating.
4 audio inputs for audio recording on 4 channels (channels 1 to 4) in addition to 8 channels of video recording. 3 monitor connections through HD-port, VGA and CVBS ports.
