I saw one of the other reviews mentioning that there is no wifi calling. I went to AT&T (my provider) for more clarity and they directed me to a list of phones that AT&T supports for wifi calling (which is shown in my screenshot provided).

From what this list says, it seems you’re not going to get wifi calling on any Samsung Galaxy S series above S21 (with AT&T, at least).

But hey, I travel to Latin America often and AT&T includes a lot of those countries free of charge (without roaming fees). I’m still sticking with AT&T just based on that alone; they can keep their wifi calling if I can have that instead.

Maybe this lack of wifi calling is the same with other cell phone providers as well. I only have access to AT&T’s list of supported phones for that feature.

The order says it is unlocked for all carriers. When I tried to get it hooked up with Xfinity they told me the phone was from another country and would not work on their network. I also checked with Samsung and was told the same thing that the phone probably would not work in the USA. The listing also says that it would be returnable or exchangeable before Jan 31. When I called to ask to have it exchanged for a phone that would work in this country, I was told that they would not exchange it, only refund it. I wanted an exchange not a refund since I had bought the phone on sale. With the refund it cost me more money to get a phone that worked.

The phone arrived as described and apparently is brand new. I have not been able to check on the “factory unblocked” yet, but hopefully in a couple of days that will be a reality. The storage capacity is good (256 GB). For those who prefer a big screen, this is not it. However, the smaller screen is clear, and the colors are great. The difference in weight between this phone and any other phone such as Galaxy A series is not great. The picture improvement of this model may go unnoticed for a regular phone user, and this appeared to be the selling point. The supporting software may operate a bit differently, and people need to be aware and ready to step on the plate when transferring the information from the old phone. Personally, I struggled with setting the Bluetooth earbuds. The settings were transferred from the old phone, but it took me 9 to 10 attempts to finally get them working. There is no jack for regular earphone devices, so people need to be willing to use earbuds as the only alternative for privacy. The phone has space for two nano micro sim cards. The double chip advertised appears to be intended for two phone lines not for extended memory. Lastly, the battery life is not so great, and may be impacted by underground apps. Samsung account is not mandatory, but the continuous notifications are annoying. So, after all said, the technology of this phone exceeds that of the phone being replaced, but it is yet to be seen if I can get use of this phone longer than 2 years, which is the average time I got from previous devises.

Purchased this phone as I wanted an upgrade without a contract. Works great! Recommend the purchase.

Shipped with WC8 firmware. OEM unlock was available but only after connecting to the internet and logging into Samsung account for “security reasons”. SMH. Was able to get twrp and root.

This phone has very good connection in remote areas.

The phone worked with the sim, however Calling over WiFi was not enabled for Verizon. Verizon tech support said there wasn’t anything they could do to help since the phone wasn’t made for the US market. If you don’t need that feature, it works fine.
